The cultural conference was informed that the first China underwear industry culture event sponsored by the Ministry of industry and information industry, the Guangdong provincial economic and Information Committee, the Shenzhen science and technology industry and trade and Information Committee, the China National Business Information Center and the Hongkong underwear Association and other organizations sponsored by the China knitted Industrial Association and the Guangdong Textile Association. The first "China international underwear culture week" will be held in Shenzhen on May 20, 2011 -26, including hundreds of well-known underwear brand enterprises such as Adam, Li Fang, Ma Ni fan, Ordifen, and olive.

The declaration aims to build a win-win cooperation mechanism and system for the underwear industry, accelerate the pace of China's underwear brand development, and help promote the healthy development of China's underwear industry.

Wang Tiankai, vice chairman of the China Textile Industry Association, director general of the consumer goods industry department of the Ministry of industry and information, director of the China Knitting Industry Association Yang Shibin, and representatives of various industrial clusters and industry organizations in the country attended the conference.


In recent years, China's underwear industry has developed rapidly.

According to statistics, China's underwear manufacturers nearly 10000, mainly concentrated in the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and other industrial gathering areas, has become one of the fastest growing areas of the global underwear industry.

The annual sales of underwear are over 100 billion, and are growing at a rate of nearly 20% per year.

Underwear is the main product of the knitting industry. Under the continuous expansion of domestic demand and the market opportunity of economic globalization, the comparative advantage of underwear industry has been brought into full play. However, problems such as low level of overall design, poor marketing ability and weak brand influence still exist.

Accelerating the development of independent brands and supporting industries is urgently needed to be promoted.

Upgrading underwear product design, speeding up the construction of marketing channels and cultivating independent brands have become an important strategic task for the development of the industry.


Wang Tiankai, vice president of China Textile Industry Association, said that the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to "speed up the cultivation of China's multinational enterprises and internationally famous brands".

Speeding up the construction of independent brand has become an important strategic task related to economic and social development in the new era.

At present, the textile industry is at a critical stage of pformation and upgrading. In the important period of coping with the international financial crisis, taking the end product as the focus, accelerating the construction of the independent brand of the textile industry is a concrete manifestation of the implementation of Scientific Outlook on Development, an important measure to effectively respond to the international financial crisis, and the only way to achieve the great progress from a big textile country to a textile power.

The first China international underwear culture week will not only give full play to regional resource advantages, innovate conditions, promote cross regional and cross international integration, speed up the independent innovation of underwear industry, promote industrial upgrading and development, but also comprehensively promote the overall progress of underwear product design, R & D, manufacturing, marketing and brand building in our country, so that the underwear industry will become an important part of the national name economy and fashion industry, and let cultural week become the "most fashionable and beautiful" international cultural exchange event.


In 2011, the first China international underwear culture week was divided into 6 major sections: exhibition, industry, fashion, design competition, Summit Forum and public welfare activities. It was composed of 17 boutique activities.

It mainly includes: the sixth Shenzhen international brand underwear Exhibition (SIUF), underwear culture exhibition, brand selection, model and design competition, fashion trend release, forum summit, public welfare activities, brand tour show, "underwear Caravan" --- sending cultural activities to the countryside and underwear, and underwear shopping month.
