In October 3, 2007, the Ministry of Commerce, industry and tourism of Columbia issued a draft technical regulations on labels for footwear and leather products.

The draft includes objectives and scope, exemption, definition and abbreviation, labeling requirements for goods, footwear label requirements, leather products labeling requirements, conformity assessment procedures, information on certification, inspection bodies and laboratories, institutions for monitoring and inspection, penalties, manufacturers and importers registration, notification, validity and entry into force, pitional provisions, annexes and parts abolition.
