Famous high-end Sports brand Moncler Group of France and Germany plans to go public. The company sold its sportswear business to the British Emerisque Investment Fund. The two sides recently announced the relevant news in a joint announcement.


Moncler just said in the announcement that "its sportswear The company was sold to Cavaliere brand management company. The company is indirectly controlled by Emerisque. Cavaliere brand management company holds the authorized operation rights of Marina Yachting, Henry Cottons, Coast Weber&Ahaus and 18CRR81 Cerruti brand. "



   Moncler The Group's sportswear division achieved a turnover of 135 million euros in December 2012.


At the same time, Moncler, Eurazeo and Carlyle subscribed for capital increase in a group, thus holding 30% of the shares of Cavaliere brand management company, but Emerisque is still the major shareholder of the company. The investment fund also holds Lee Cooper and MCS brands.


Moncler was founded more than 60 years ago in Grenoble, France, and successfully revitalized ten years ago by Italian businessman Remo Ruffini. The company announced in mid October that it had planned to go public in Milan, and it was expected to be completed before the end of the year.


Taking this opportunity, the Italian owner of the brand, Remo Ruffini, intends to split up other sportswear brands under Moncler and even sell them. He said, "We hope to position ourselves as a single brand in the market, and other brands will form another company. If there is an opportunity to sell it, we will certainly consider it".
